Dr. Jacob Elisha is a highly-regarded Board Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Surgeon. His practice emphasizes dental implants surgery and Bone Grafting, giving his patients the benefit of over 25 years of experience in these dynamic areas of dentistry.
Dr. Elisha attended UCLA undergraduate college majoring in Microbiology. At a young age of 19, he receives the highest score in Dental Admission Test in the country and became the youngest student ever to be accepted to Harvard School of Dental Medicine and UCLA School of Dentistry. With an academic scholarship, Dr. Elisha decided to stay in Southern California and attend UCLA. In 1988, he attained his doctorate in Dental Surgery at UCLA School of Dentistry . He received numerous honors including National Institute of Dental Research Student Scholarship for Research and The Department of Periodontics highest award for Clinical Excellence. In addition to his dental school curriculum he spent 3 months at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor prestigious department of Bacteriology and Immunology. He graduated at the top 3% of his Dental School Class with the highest score on the National Board Examination. Upon completion of his dental degree, Dr. Elisha completed a one year Hospital Dentistry Fellowship at Veteran Hospital West Los Angeles. Upon completion of his fellowship, he received his postgraduate training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at UCLA.
Education is important to Dr. Elisha. He is active in professional continuing education and regularly attends continuing education courses and classes. He was a clinical instructor at UCLA undergraduate periodontics and course instructor at UCLA Dental Extension program. He has lectured throughout california to numerous dental societies on Dental Implants and bone grafting techniques.
